Original Item: Only One Available. Wonderful unissued condition WW2 USMC US Marine Corps P44 USMC Combat Field Utility Jacket in Olive Drab. This loose fitting sage green herringbone twill (HBT) cotton jacket features, original blacked brass "doughnut hole" USMC buttons which still show most of the original black, breast pocket and stenciled black USMC EGA insignia.
The trousers are also made of the classic HBT material. These “monkey pants” were developed and introduced toward the end of the pacific war. Research seems to suggest they saw limited use in Okinawa, but would be used extensively in Korea, and by the French in Indochina. The front on profile is similar in appearance to the classic US Army pants, but the defining feature is the pocket on the reverse, which was designed to carry a waterproof bag incase of rain, and conveniently as a pillow to sit on.
Both items are in spectacular condition and shows signs of no use. The blouse still retains the original depot tag on the interior which has a 1945 date present as well as the size 38.
Comes more than ready for further research and display.
